WE CELEBRATED THE FIRST INTERNATIONAL DYLAN'S DAY. 17th May.
We were proud to host the first Dylan Thomas day celebration in London in 2015. We are planning a celebration this year. Other events are happening in Wales and New York. We produced special Dylan's Day Literary Pub Crawl walks and hosted a rehearsed reading of a new play about the Welsh Wizard called, 'The Roaring Boy' We are grateful to Literature Wales for their support.
The Maverick Theatre Company is looking for a part-time volunteer intern to assist on the continuing 'London Literary Pub Crawl' and a potential new season of plays in Soho and Fitzrovia, London. Initially the role is looking after a box office system and liaising with venues and artists, but there are promotional, production and sponsorship roles too and it’s anticipated the intern will take increasing responsibility for productions and possibly be involved in t.i.e. and large-scale national touring plans in 2017/18. The internship will be for just a few hours a week initially and would suit those with ambitions to produce or company manage. Full training will be given and most of the work can be undertaken at home using the internet. A phone is provided. Expenses will be met. If you are interested, please see londonliterarypubcrawl.com and mavericktheatre.co.uk and send a cv and a brief note as to why you’d like to be involved to email@example.com.
We are currently managing the London Literary Pub Crawl - a promonade theatre production in the West End of London. And we helped to organise the 'Dylan Thomas in Fitzrovia' Festival in October 2014 with Griff Rhys Jones. Contact us for further information.
